Landscape Restoration

  • Landscape restoration is a holistic, standards-based approach to conservation and restoration that generates environmental, biodiversity, and socioeconomic benefits for the well-being of the planet and communities.

  • We have restoration and conservation initiatives across nine countries in Africa, Asia, and Latina America.

  • To expand our operations into a new region or country, we follow a thorough project feasibility assessment process. This evaluation assesses key factors such as the drivers of land degradation, regional conditions, security and safety considerations, community involvement capacity, and overall costs. We are not able to start a holistic landscape project unless it meets all the criteria established in the pre-feasibility process.

  • We do not provide funding for projects led by other nonprofits or organizations.

  • The general tree planting price is $0.75 (USD) per tree. The pricing is based on global averages including costs for tree production, program management, and admin.

Getting Involved

  • To view and apply for open positions, please visit our careers page.

  • A few ways you can get involved include:

  • While we greatly value each of our donors and appreciate your support, project visits are limited and reserved as a benefit for top-funding partners, conducted at their expense. Our priority is to operate in the best interests of our global teams. To protect and honor our mission, as well as the goals and culture of our teams, we do not offer general project visits.

  • We are incredibly grateful for your interest in volunteering. However, we do not offer opportunities for individuals to volunteer. A core part of our mission is partnering with local communities to design and implement restoration initiatives. By collaborating directly with community members who know the land best, we ensure that restoration and community development programs are locally driven, sustainable, and impactful.
